EndoVizX
EndoVizX (Patent Pending) is the first and only Commercial software of its kind for the analysis of functional luminal imaging probe(FLIP) measurement in the gastrointestinal tract. One of the major limitations of the current Endoflip system is that, surprisingly there is no available software program to display and analyze recordings after the testing is complete. This is the first user-friendly software that allows such capabilities for all interested researchers all around the world. It is intended for non-clinical, research use only. Access user manual and video tutorial for all features in the client area.
Unlike its counterpart in Esophageal and Pelvic high resolution Manometry (HRM), where one can visualize and analyze HRM recordings after the actual recordings are done, and completed using programs such as Manoview (Medtronics), MMS (now Laborie) and Sandhill (Diversatek), no such software exists to date for Endoflip probe. The basic programs available through the courtesy of the Northwestern group and Crosspons are limited in scope, and need improvements, most importantly they need to become user friendly. Furthermore, parameters such as wall tension, length-tension assessment by loop analysis and possibly other functions that Endoflip technique allows could be useful to study the physiology, pathophysiology and therapeutic strategies.
An improved visualization and analysis software will make Endoflip testing extremely popular in the GI community and researchers; ultimately, clinicians will be certain of the parameters provided to make accurate diagnosis upon which to base correct therapeutic decisions. Researchers, on the other hand, will be able to further refine the already known and new parameters to advance our understanding of the physiology and pathophysiology of GI motility disorders.
